Doing just one kind of physical activity isn’t going to have an effect on the aging process. Instead of resorting to solutions that are likely to end up futile, get yourself to do varying activities. Besides, this is a more enjoyable way to fight the signs of aging, preserve good health and continue being physically dynamic.

Watching TV all day isn’t going to do the trick. When age finally catches up with you, you’ll gradually become more incapable of doing things you use to love doing. Plan an exercise regimen where you can do strength, aerobic and flexibility activities to stop aging on its tracks.

Strength Training

Delay the aging process by doing a strength workout every now and then. What strength training does is enhance bone density and muscle mass. Lacking exercise results in the loss of muscle tone, where your muscles are less capable in sustaining your bones. You may end up developing constant back pain and a bad posture.

What’s good about doing regular strength workouts is that your muscles become toned, skin tighter, arthritic conditions minimized and metabolic rate increase. Once your body has been conditioned to strength training, it is still able to burn fat even after you’ve finished working out. You can do a strength workout by weight training, resistance training (where you oppose forces), and isometric training (where you strengthen muscles without movement). The recommended amount of time to strength-train is 2-3 days per week.

If you’re just exercising, isometric training is the best activity to start with, since it causes less tension. You’re only required to flex your muscles repetitively, without really applying a range of movements.

Aerobic Workout

Doing an aerobic workout is the best activity anyone can do to delay the aging process. Anyone from a child to an adult can do cardiovascular exercises. Cardiovascular exercises involve running, brisk-walking, and other exercises that require more endurance than full-on power.

Aerobic training is also known as cardiovascular training because it aids in the healthy circulation of blood in the body. Healthy circulation helps bring sufficient amounts of oxygen to different parts of the body. It is responsible for your coordinating skills, responsive mechanisms and mental clarity. When blood circulation is weak, you may become easily faint, develop migraines and acquire severe problems like heart disease and dementia.

The advantages of doing an aerobic workout are better endurance, minimized mental and physical stress, and reduced blood pressure. It is recommended that at least 20 minutes of aerobic training be incorporated into your exercise program.

Flexibility Activities

Anyone who is getting into any type of exercise, be it cardiovascular or strength, needs to do some flexibility workout. 1. Assess your skin type. In order to make the correct decision on your eye skin care products, you must first identify your skin type. For example, if you have oily skin as opposed to dry skin, you should look for products that are oil free to see the best results in your skin.

2. Drink A Lot of Water. Drink the required 8-10 glasses of water daily. It will not only keep your skin hydrated, but help prevent the accumulation of bacteria, helping you avoid further skin problems like acne.

3. Cool water in the morning, lukewarm water at night. Using cool water in the morning is helpful for not only waking you up and refreshing you, but also can reduce the puffy eyes look we so often experience when just waking up. Also lukewarm water will open up your pores to allow them to be fulling cleansed and rid of dirt and oil from your makeup.

Using only a light scrub will ensure you eliminate the top layer of dead skin cells without damaging the delicate skin around the eyes, making it susceptible to wrinkling and becoming over-dryed.

5. Always Use A Moisturizer. Use a good moisturizer, especially if you have dry skin. Most dermatologists suggest moisturizers will have their best effect on your skin if you apply them shortly after washing your face – when your skin is most permeable. Doing so, makes it easier for the active ingredients to do their best work on your skin and make the moisture last throughout the day.

6. Avoid Bar Soap. As much as possible, avoid using soap on your face. Bar soaps tend to strip your face of the natural oils it needs to maintain a healthy moisture balance. Leave the bar soap for the rest of your body.

7. Avoid the Sun. We all need a little sun exposure to be happy, but when expecting to get sun exposure at length, apply sunscreen lotion or better yet, use a facial moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15. Make a habit of using sunscreen every time you go outdoors, even when it’s cloudy. The easiest way to not forget SPF? Make sure it is in all your makeup products.

8. Exercise Can Brighten Up Your Face. A little bit of perspiration will do your skin some good! You will notice that people who exercise a lot tend to have clearer, smoother skin and this is because the perspiration cleanses the dirt from their skin.

9. The secret truly lies in antioxidants. By adding antioxidants into your diet daily you are working to actually reverse – not only prevent – the signs of aging. Antioxidants can reverse free radical damage and this free radical damage is the number one reason we start to see the signs of aging. A good food to keep in mind for getting your antioxidants are berries – blue, black, red – the darker the better.

10. Learn to deal with life stressors. Studies show how harmful stress is to our bodies and it is a key factor in aging. By learning to cope well with stress, we can reduce the signs of aging improving the health of your skin and your overall health. It’s one of the best things you can do for yourself. Start off by trying not to sweat the small stuff.

Have you ever noticed how much more difficult it is to apply your mascara and eyeliner when the winter chill starts to set in? Your mascara might be just a little stiffer coming out of the tube which makes a clean application near impossible. Or perhaps your eyeliner is much harder than usual and doesn’t even seem to leave any color on your eye lid. It’s because the cold of winter can pose a few problems with makeup application, especially when it comes to eye makeup. I have a few makeup tips that I use on a regular basis that I hope will make your life a little easier.

The key to a smooth eyeliner application is to have it be the right temperature. It is so frustrating when eyeliner is too cold and hard and doesn’t seem to want to go on. The exciting thing is that each of us has a secret weapon; our bodies. Your body heat has just the right effect on your eye makeup to get it to the perfect temperature without over warming it. If you just stick your eyeliner right next to your hip letting the elastic on your pants hold it to your body, after a few minutes, it will be ready. I always do my hair while my eye liner warms up.

This same tip is great for your mascara. When it’s too cold, mascara is often more difficult to deal with than eyeliner. When it’s cold, your lashes end up looking clumped together and stiff. Using your body heat works great to avoid letting your mascara ruin your makeup look. I’ve found that it takes a little bit longer to warm up than the eyeliner, so you’ll want to give it a few extra minutes. You’ll find that the time is worth it when your mascara then goes on smoothly.

The key to beautiful lashes is a nice curl to them. So my final tip will help you get a great curl in your lash. Just like previous tips mentioned, getting the right curl involves warming your eyelash curler. You wouldn’t expect your hair to curl on a cold curling iron would you? Just as your hair curls best on a warm curling iron, your eyelashes will curl best on a warmed eyelash curler. You can use your body heat to warm your eyelash curler too.

Sometimes, when I am in a time crunch, I use my blow dryer on low heat just for a few seconds. If you use your blow dryer to warm up your lash curler, make sure you test it first with your finger to make sure it’s not too hot since your eye is such a sensitive area. Hopefully, with these tips, the cold of winter won’t make a difference; you’ll still look your best.

Maintaining a balance of moisture for your skin is also extremely important. An excellent way to keep this balance is by applying a weekly facial mask. A mask will provide the super deep moisture that your face needs from time to time. Instead of buying an overpriced mask product, try using plain yogurt as an alternative. Just make sure that the yogurt you use doesn’t have extra additives – a whole foods store will most likely have the right kind. Simply apply the yogurt directly to your skin and let it sit for about five to ten minutes. The natural acidophilus in the yogurt will even help kill unwanted bacteria in your skin which can prevent and clear minor acne.

Caffeine’s ability to constrict small veins also means that it’s a favored ingredient when it comes to gels meant to reduce puffiness and dark circles near the eyes. It’s also used for tightening skin in this area. It’s a good idea to remember that no cream, gel or lotion can give permanent results. However, caffeine containing products can create a noticeable improvement for a few hours.

Now, the explosion of coffee use in skin products means that you’ll find it in fragrances, face creams and body scrubs. Lots of products not only smell like coffee, but also have ground coffee in them as an exfoliant. Some manufacturers even suggest that absorbing caffeine through your skin could produce some of the same alertness effects that drinking a cup of coffee does.

Dermatologists say otherwise, however. That’s because none of these skin care products contain a high enough concentration of caffeine to give you the kind of jolt you’d get from drinking coffee. A few promising studies in rodents have suggested that coffee’s caffeine can kill skin cancer cells. These results have appeared promising, but similar effects have not been translated to humans. There are, however, plenty of caffeinated sunscreens. That’s because this substance can have some sun blocking effects.

A few folks are even suggesting that investment in expensive skin care potions is unnecessary. It’s claimed that you can receive the same benefits by concocting your own home brewed coffee soaps and body scrubs from used coffee grounds. Formulas are even offered. Hey, now you can shower with your espresso!

Bath & Body Works Instant Radiance Lotion Tan gradually help your body?

So the other day, I bought Bath & Body Works Instant Radiance Gradual Tan Body Lotion, and I wondered if it really works. This is my first time trying something like this and well … I forgot to do a little research beforehand. >

I would recommend exfoliating before you start. Self Tanning, gradual or not apply easier and more regulated, if from a smooth surface. I'm not sure how well they cover the lines so badly, probably obviously depend on how they are. I also recommend before applying it all maybe try a particular area and see how well it covers, or at least helps to mix. In fact, I used some in jap the cherry blossoms during the summer, and I felt he was doing his job, but the application was only a couple of times a week on the legs of additional color. The gradual tanners good thing about it is just a light bronze and no end. Good luck!
